  • About me
  • I’m a Christ-following, husband, father (as of 09-02-09), former young adults pastor, web developer, small business owner, entrepreneur type.

I’ve been a follower of Jesus Christ since I was ten years old. Though my journey of faith has had its ups and downs (mostly related to my commitment to it, not so much my belief in it), I’ve been actively pursuing Jesus since 1997 after I graduated college.

I’ve been married to the most amazing woman for nearly 5 years. She just gave birth to our first child, Robert NASH McBryde born on 09-02-09. Our families live close to us, and we enjoy hanging with them often.

All in all, I have an amazing life.

Thanks, Jeremy! That was my first interview ever so I was a bit nervous. Thankfully, Gabe is a pro! :)

What is BarCamp?

A BarCamp is an “unconference” – an open, participatory event where the attendees are the presenters. The first BarCamp was held in Palo Alto, Ca., in 2005. Since then more than 350 cities on six continents have hosted BarCamps. The first BarCamps focused on early-stage web applications, open-source technologies, and open data formats; but the format has been adapted to serve a variety of other industries and issues, including public transit, health care, real estate and political organizing.

BarCamp Jonesboro - September 25, 2010

Rachel Pinto leads us in songs of praise to the Lord.

Jesus said that God is seeking those to worship Him in truth and in spirit. Every other Thursday we have a time of worship, celebration, prayer and sharing. A time unfettered by the constraints of programs, offerings and orders of service. The purpose is to let the Holy Spirit guide an evening of fellowship, communion and worship that brings glory to God and fills hearts and nourishes the spirits of His children as they worship Him.

Because my sweet friend Katie McManners is working on her budget tonight (instead of attending RiverFest), I thought I'd publicly share this budget template I developed a few years ago. It's a modified version of something I found online, but the premise is simple. Account for every dollar you make each month.

So I was given a riding lawn mower a few weeks ago and just got around to firing it up this evening.

Getting the hang of this mower was not as easy as I had thought.  Trying to maneuver around with less than precision steering was a workout. Going up the steep incline of parts of my backyard proved to be too great a challenge for the 16+ year old machine.

Hola family and friends,

This is mostly an update about Nash...because he is the absolute coolest thing going on in our lives.  :)

Nash is now 6.5 months old, weighs 16 lbs, and is a touch longer than 2 feet. Everyone who sees him falls in love with him instantly. He's got an infectious smile, and, as you'll see in the video linked below, his laugh is just awesome. (I'm only a little proud of my son...promise.)
